This is the ultimate combination tour for those who want to experience some of the most significant history in Poland. You will visit one of the largest and most infamous Nazi concentration camps Auschwitz and Birkenau, as well as visiting the historic Wieliczka Salt Mine.
The day will begin with a tour of the Auschwitz and Birkenau Camps. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is the memorial dedicated to all those who suffered and died at the camps. The tour will give you a shocking insight on the living conditions and atrocities that took place there.
A short while after your tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau you will be taken to explore the Wieliczka Salt Mine. You will descend 135 metres below ground level (approx. 380 steps down) to Level 1 of the Salt Mine. Here you will be able to see the skilfully crafted salt chambers, salt churches and sculptures before you make your ascent to the surface in the lift.
You will also receive a FREE Schindler’s List Walking Tour, where you can discover the hidden streets of the Jewish Quarter.
Please Note:
- This combination tour is not wheelchair accessible.
- For guests who do not wish to descend in to the Salt Mine via the 380 steps, there is a lift available upon request which costs 250PLN (approx. £50) per elevator. This will be payable locally.
- This tour is not suitable for children under 14. If you have any children under 14 that wish to participate please contact us. (We will need to contact our partners in resort to await their decision on whether these be granted special access and at Children's prices).
- The Schindler's List Walking Tour is only available Tuesday-Sunday and will be taken the day after your Auschwitz and Birkenau + Wieliczka Salt Mine Tour. The Schindler's List Factory entry is not included in this and therefore payable separately if you wish to visit this Museum at the end of the Tour. The admission price is around 21 Polish Zloty per person.

Tour Operates: Daily. You will travel in a 20 person bus / van.
Tour Meeting Point: Tour Main Start Point: Starowislna 65, Krakow (where the Dajwor and Strarowislna Road splits by the white building with big pillar opposite). You will need to be at the meeting point at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour as will be indicated on your voucher.
Tour Pick-Up: Between approx. 7am – 9am.
Tour Drop Off: Between approx. 7pm – 9pm.
Tour Duration: Approx. 12 hours.

(Please Note: If you have your Auschwitz and Salt Mine Tour on Sunday you will have your Schindler’s List Walking Tour on Tuesday as the Walking Tour does not operate on Mondays. This tour is not recommended for those who have problems with walking or are claustrophobic. To get to Level 1 of the Wieliczka Salt Mine all tourists descend the stairs. Please wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking involved for both tours.
This tour will operate in all weather conditions please dress appropriately. We advise wearing warm clothing to go to the Salt Mine as temperatures are approx. 14° C. (57 F) even in summer.
A break between the tours is not guaranteed as it is dependent on tour timings and traffic.
As no food or drinks are included in the Tour we recommend bringing refreshments and a packed lunch, including water.
Photo I.D. is required.The Auschwitz Museum may ask for Photo ID and the Museum may refuse entry to you if you cannot provide sufficient ID. We therefore strongly advise you to bring your Passport and/or Driving Licence.
